Medical certificates and medical reports are official documents issued by a physician after an appropriate clinical evaluation.

Their purpose is to document health conditions, guide medical decisions, or meet legal, work-related, academic, or travel requirements.

At LAIA Health, these documents are issued exclusively after a medical consultation, always with responsibility, ethics, and solid clinical justification.

🩺 Issued after a medical consultation

Every medical certificate or report:

  • ✔️ Requires a prior medical consultation
  • ✔️ Depends on a clinical indication
  • ✔️ Is issued in accordance with the Brazilian Federal Medical Council (CFM) regulations
  • ❌ Documents cannot be issued without a proper medical evaluation

Patient safety and document credibility are absolute priorities.

📑 Types of documents that may be issued

During the medical consultation, and when clinically indicated, the following documents may be issued:

📝 Medical Certificate

  • Work leave
  • Justification for school or academic absence
  • Temporary activity restrictions

📋 Medical Report

  • Description of the clinical condition
  • Summarized medical history
  • Continuous medication use
  • Referral to other healthcare professionals or services
  • Reports for companies, schools, insurance providers, or airlines

✈️ FIT TO FLY

A medical document that certifies whether the patient is medically fit or unfit to travel by air, especially important in cases such as:

  • Recent illnesses or ongoing treatments
  • Recent surgeries
  • Respiratory, cardiovascular, or infectious conditions
  • Airline requirements

The FIT TO FLY certificate is issued only after a medical evaluation, which may include the review of exams and medical history when necessary.

⚠️ Important information

  • Document issuance is not automatic
  • The physician may decline to issue a document if there is no clinical indication
  • Content and duration follow technical and ethical criteria
  • Inappropriate requests or false information will not be accepted
