Our purpose is to make access to healthcare simple, reliable, and human-centered, no matter where the patient is.
✈️ Our Story
Laia Health was born from a personal experience.
During an international backpacking trip, our founder noticed a recurring situation: travelers getting sick far from home and facing major difficulties finding trusted physicians, accessible care, and proper medical guidance.
What should have been an incredible experience often turned into a real nightmare — expensive consultations, language barriers, lack of information, and uncertainty about the quality of medical care.
It was in this context that Laia Health was created: a medical service designed specifically for people who are traveling, combining technology, empathy, and medical responsibility, so that health never becomes an obstacle to living new experiences.

Dr. Filipe Laia
Medical doctor graduated from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), with postgraduate training in Emergency Medicine. He has experience in emergency care, Family and Community Medicine, telemedicine, and medical assistance for travelers.
He provides care for Brazilian and international patients and is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, always focusing on safe, effective, and human-centered medical care.
